Fellow Christians: Why is homosexuality a grave sin but we are allowed to eat pork?

Yes due to increased sanitation Jesus did in fact stop enforcing Old Testament dietary laws which many Jews as well as the Seventh Day Adventist Church are still trying to enforce and force on others.
