I have purchased a soundstream xxx and of course it has a qvc. I am stuck on trying to figure out how to wire it down to the lowest possible ohm setting while running 3 amps that are 1 ohm stable. Can someone show me a diagram on how to do this please.
is it possible to wire a subwoofer in this manner:
a single 4 ohm dvc sub wired to a final impedance of 2 ohms is connected to each channel of a 2 channel amplifier so that each channel sees a 2 ohm load but the amplifier is not bridged.
For example:
an amplifier has the following ratings...
500/1 Car Amplifier? My friend is setting up a system and I have a extra Audiobahn Alum10Q Dual 6 Ohm Voice Coil. and I want to wire it as a 3ohm and use a JL Audio 500/1 Car Amplifier. But My question is how much wattage will I Lose? Thanks.
I am going to buy a pair of alpine 12'' type r subs. However, i don't know if i should go with the 4 ohm version or the 2 ohm version. If i get the two ohm than i suppose i would want to get an alpine m1000 amp for each sub. What amp(s) would be the best fit for the 4 ohm subs? What setup...
hey guys,
I was wondering if it would be at all possible to wire my Dual 4ohm sub (which is wired down to 2 ohms) into my home cinema amp which puts out 3ohms to it's own sub (the one included in the home system). If this isn't possible, is it possible to bridge my sub, so it's wired up to...
...the same wattage? I have two DVC subs and two different amps I'm looking at using. They are 2 ohms per coil so I can either wire each to 1 or 4 ohms as parallel / series. Currently the amp I'm using is running only 35 watts / channel into two 800 watt max subs at 4 ohms, so needless to say...
...subwoofers? They are 500 watts rms and I want to run them at 500 watts each so what would be a good amp that powers them at 500 watts. Should I get one that is 1 ohm stable and wire them at one ohm if not then I would be looking at an amp with way to many watts for it to work at 4 ohms cause...
So i have a amp pusing 1800w max and about 500RMS, my sub is 1200RMS and 2400Watt max,, right now the sub is wired at 4ohm, my amp can handle 1ohm, so i was wondering will i get more power if i wire my sub to 2ohm? thanks for your answers! =D
I found a little box to fit an acura rsx, however it only has .55 cubic feet of airspace. I was hoping to put an Alpine SWR-1023D 10" Type R Subwoofer with a Alpine MRP-M500 - 1 channel amp, will this work well or is the enclosure too small (recommended airspace is .75 cubic feet for the sub)?
