Will a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 (i535) work on the Telus Mobility Network (Canada)?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 from Verizon Wireless that I would like to use in Canada on the Telus network (with a Telus SIM card).
The Model is the SCH-i535 (the blue one) and I can't find a straight answer as to whether it will work with or not.

I would like to use it for Calling and Texting.

Some more information:
• As far as I can tell, any 4G/LTE phone (including this one) from Verizon comes unlocked, so that isn't an issue
• Looking at the verizon website (http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/device/smartphone/samsung-galaxy-s-III) the S3 they currently sell has the 'global capabilities' that would be needed to access the Telus CDMA/HSPA+ network.
• The Samsung website (http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones/SCH-I535MBBVZW-specs) doesn't say anything about 'global capabilities'
• I have tried to use the non-Telus device compatibility check (http://mobility.telus.com/en/AB/phones-and-devices/devicecompatibility.shtml) but the IMEI comes up with an error

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
