What's better for cardio exercise? Spin bike or Stationary bike?

I'm thinking of getting either Spin bike or Upright Stationary bike for doing cardio exercise at home. I've used Upright Stationary bike at the gym and I liked it but I haven't tried Spin bike before. Does anyone have experience with Spin bikes? Are they better than the good quality stationary bikes? I'm probably going to buy the exercise bikes from amartallsports since that's the only closest fitness store I think there is in Cairns unless if I'm going to save more money if I order online? Also, I prefer to buy the bikes that have the speed, distance, time, pulse and RPM meter since they give me something to look at while exercising and it's kind of motivating. Also, I frequently change the resistance and the bike handle position from upright to leaning so comfort and ease of adjustability is important as well.

I don't know if more expensive = better but these two are the most expensive stationary and spin bikes sold at amartallsports. Which one do you think is better and should I buy from somewhere else e.g. online rather than amartallsports?

Mercury 100SB Spin Bike – $999 - http://www.amartallsports.com.au/ecom/amart/products/product-detail.aspx?id=36682&cat=1409

The difference between the two is that spin bikes use a heavy flywheel and are designed to be pedaled while standing. A spin bike will provide a much greater workout I would look for a refurbished spin bike or check the local ebay and Craig's list for a used one. People buy those things and never use them. I would also look into getting a real bike and put it on a trainer when the weather gets bad. You can spend hours on a real bike and enjoy yourself if you get a good one from a bike shop. Exercise bikes are too boring to ride much more then 45-60 min.
