Too much oil nissan micra?

i am a car novice and regretably put too "glugs" of oil in the car because the dipstick indicated it was low. put in the 2nd glug as after 5 mins the oil level hadnt changed. I ran the engine drove to a better lit spot, there is kinda dense oil in the max end of the dipstick and more dilute oil further up the stick. Is this normal? have a#i wrecked my car - the engine did feel quite hot. also where is the outlet if you want to drain the oil? if the engine is hot will the oil levels look higher anyway?
