How do I turn off Roger beep on Motorola FV700R walkie-talkie??

Hi there,
I would like to thank you in advance for choosing to stop by this question. I'm thinking about buying a set of Motorola FV700R walkie-talkies, but I need to make sure I can turn off the annoying roger beep that Motorola always puts on their less professional walkie-talkies. If I can, I think I should get these. If anyone would like to advise me not to buy these, and suggest something else in the same price range, please feel free to post that. This may not be the same on this model, but on mine you hold the volume/channel up button while turning it on to disable/enable the roger beep.

Mine does the same, but only on the husband radio. the wife handset doesn't do that.
