Hey guys, I've been doing a lot of searching and reading, trying to look for a home theater system that I could hook up to my pc and xbox 360.

I was wondering, what are my options for hooking up these three together? I am terrible with cabling for some reason (I'm a visual person, so I get lost just reading it). As far as I know, I would be able to run an optical audio cable to my 360 and to the receiver. I would also be able to run an optical audio from my mobo's spdif out to the receiver, since the receiver has two optical inputs. However, my friend was saying that using HDMI connections would be better; I looked up the difference and read that HDMI is better and allows better audio quality and what not. So basically, I'm just wondering what are my options for hooking up all this stuff together?
