For starters there is no such thing as a 2G iPhone 4. Your old SIM card will NOT work in it without modification as the iPhone 4 requires a micro-SIM.

No you cannot put your SIM in it without modifying it. The iPhone 4 requires a micro-SIM. You will have to decide which device you want to use as once you cut the SIM card to fit the iPhone 4 it will not work in any other device. You should get a new micro-SIM with your iPhone 4 and again...

If you know for sure that the SIM card works in another phone then you have a bad SIM card reader in the Nokia 6350 or the IMEI has been reported as lost/stolen
If you restore it you lose your jailbreak and unlock. It must remain jailbroken to remain unlocked. The two go hand in hand when the device is unlocked.
