Where can I report pedophile websites to the authorities (FBI or whatever)?

I am a huge usenet/newsgroup junkie- so much so that iv'e set up macros to automatically download remote content directly to my harddrive for my review later (1000s+ files daily). Needless to say the content downloaded is usually relevant to my search terms... but everyday I come across 50-100 or-so files that contain images of kiddyporn that sickos have uploaded for other sickos to enjoy. When this first started to happen, id go into cold-sweats and frantically delete the illegal material off my computer, for fear that big brother and my ISP would collaborate and send me to jail. But this happens so frequently, now I want to get involved and shut these creeps down.Ive noticed that alot of these twisted photos contain weird website names hosted in other countries like- http:\\pe.dophi.le(not an actual site, just a made up URL to give an examp)Since I come across so many of these sites.. where can I report these websites to the FBI or somebody who will enforce justice?

If they're based in the U.S., then it's http://www.fbi.govIf they're international, interpol might have to get involved, but the FBI will be happy to help.It might help them out too if you can give them the IP numbers of the users doing it. Good luck, and good lookin' out.
 
start with your local PD, they will make sure the right action is taken. They may "Borrow" your hard drives to help track the perverts down.Cheers

Really impressed with what your doing but this is just a thought, if you can do this why can't the police or crimestoppers do this.Keep up the good work.
 
CVIG76 once again, is correct. (Will you ever stop beating me to these questions?!!) fbi.gov has a link for reporting child porn, pedo sites, etc etc.I will say though that they just give you a confirmation # and that is about it. Save the reply from them - good luck -
 
Oh dear - I would suggest informing the police - you may also want to ask them how to clean your computer of all those images that have been transferred to your computer. You may think you erase stuff but you don't - a lot of it remains on your hard drive....you just don't see it until one day you may want your computer repaired and the repair man reports you to the police because you have kiddie porn on your computer - try and explain that one away.
 
Report it......but FIRST....STOP YOUR MACROS!No one is going to believe that "the kiddie porn just somehow magically appeared on my computer"Plus - you OBVIOUSLY must look at it to decide that it's kiddie porn - and when you saw the SECOND file, you should have stopped the macros.
 
When you do report it be sure to note every site that you came across it.You won't be considered a suspect, but it is good to cover yourself anyway.I had that experience one time, and it was sickening. I wrote down the exact date & time, and the URL and sent it in to the FBI. The bad thing about internet child pornographers, is that they constantly change websites, and URL's and they even use abandoned blogs as a means to transmit data.

Hmmm?A bit of psychology - why would you go into such detail on a amateur plauged site like Yahoo Answers for this infomation??Commom sense would say go to the Police.I bet you are a peedophile yourself.
 
I noticed the same thing and wasn't sure what to do about it. These sickos need to be shut down and fast! These kids need to be proteced not hurt and abused.
 
I was soooo put off by the horrible images that I was just thinking of how to get out of there fast instead of taking the time to write down the URL. In hindsite I should have done that. If it ever happens again, I will take down the info and go to the police ASAP!
 
people, you are completely unaware of what newsgroups are.
There is no way anyone can stop uploading anything illegal onto a newsgroup. Be that porn or software or a new movie. I dont care for porn my self, but i do enjoy a movie or two or 5000+ that is my collection so far... majority came from newsgroups. as well as software. i can tell you that i have purchased only windows vista in the past 10 years and i have tons of software stored on dvd's. THANK YOU NEWSGROUPS!!!!
 
I just browsed around and i got in a pedophile site, my god this is sick, i was in rage, this sick bastards have pics of 12y old kids, tell me, for fuck sake is it legal what those ppl are doing, and if not how does it come no1 stopped them, arent there any organizations or smth like that to send the sick bastards to the jail????!!!!
