I recently learned that a few parts of the books were not origional ideas by j.k.r. (such as that a ghostly black dog - the "grim" in harry potter - is a warning sign of aproaching death. OR the idea of the "Hand of glory" which gives light to only the holder in harry potter is actually part of an old occult practice. OR lastly the idea of the mandrake plant, which is actually a real plant only jk.r. in the books made consuming the roots have a different result)
SO im curious if anyone else knows strange facts like these or anything else interesting about the books movies or author.
