How do i pair my phone to bluetooth in 2011 impala?

I just purchased the car from a used lot. Not much info on the functions there. I see the buttons on the steering wheel that indicate bluetooth. I followed the directions in the manual but I have not received any indication that it works. Any help appreciated. it is 2011 impala Lt

Push and hold the talk button on the steering wheel. When it says ready say bluetooth. It will say bluetooth ready then say pair. It will start a search and give you a code set your phone to scan and when it asks put the code in. One thing the buttons on the steering wheel are not bluetooth exclusive and it could be you dont have the option. If you want send me the vin number and i can tell you for sure if it has it.
