i have a hifonics brutus brz 1200, 4 10s, and it will be going into a 2004 dodge neon R/T i believe the alternator is 85 amps. the amp has 2 70 amp fuzes. Ive decieded im going with a sound quality set up so i plan on down grading eventually, but i want to know, how much damage could it do to this car? will the alternator be so stressed its toast within a month? I dont play my shit full blast but i usually do crank it pretty loud. i just really dont want the alternator going out because its somewhat hard to replace on a neon. anyways yes, I'm aware i need at least a 150 amp highout put alt, and an extra battery wouldnt hurt but money is the issue. should i just have go without until i can hook it up right or should i just hook it up to the 85 amp alt.
