I'm new to this longer hair deal, so I'm trying new things. I have fairly thick medium length hair. The other day I made a fro-like creation out of the shower from blow drying hair then putting some gel in it and combing it through, picking it up. It looked sensational enough to be presented to the public so I went with it. However it was snowing and it got wet and flopped down, fell apart. I'm interested in trying out styles like this instead of side swept average bangs everyday. But my hair is so thick I'm not sure how to get it to stay like this:
