Male w/ thick, semi-wavy hair, high hair line - What's a good cut/style for me?

I'm looking for some better options. I've been trying to improve my look lately, and I really need a better cut. Here's what I have right now:

I'd like to keep a medium length, but I'm sure it could look better. I wouldn't mind some of the higher-end styles as long as they aren't too difficult to maintain. I also don't know anything about styling products or procedures, so if anyone could through me some suggestions to that as well, that would be greatly appreciated!

You could go for a faux hawk sort of thing, just get some styling gel (specifically for styling) and sort of do a faux hawk by just pushing it up toward the middle. You could also try spiking it a little to the left and up or to the right and up.
You should just by some styling gel or glue for guys at the store and then just try out different things with your hair. You could even look at male haircuts on the internet and get inspired.

It really depends on personal preference.
