Thank you anon for the Cosplay Maker link at IGG Games but that was the link I originally tried and the game didn't work. I don't know whether the one posted on IGG is bugged but it crashes.

HOW TO USE TORRENTS

I wrote this because people do not know how to use torrent and torrent sites. People tell me such sites are difficult to use and they do not want to use it. I am often told that i should download from these sites and then put up the files for them because it is easier for them. It is easier for them, yes. But they complain about how long it takes me to download and re-upload for them on a filesharing site.
I am also told very often that these people are youngsters (below the age of 18) and should be indulged because they can't be expected to know anything, let along learn something on their initiative. I think that is a silly excuse.

Please, spare a thought for me and other people like me. It is very troublesome for me to download from these places and then re-up them to download sites like 4shared, mediafire etc. I do not have the time to do this for you ALL THE TIME.


If you think this is TLDR. That is your problem. I do not want to help people who do not want to read and who do not want to learn to help themselves.

This is a guide for windows 7 and firefox only. I cannot stress this enough.

windows7 = win 7
firefox = ff

Change all the (dot) to a real dot/period/full stop.

Change all the (colon) to a real colon, that is :
In an American/English keyboard, it Is beside the "L" button.

I advise you to use the latest version of firefox (ff) because i am using it and my examples will be worthless if you do not use the same thing and don't understand me.


1) Go to www(dot)google(dot)com and search for "utorrent" without the "". Press enter after that. If you do not know how to do that, look at this picture I provided - http(colon)//i(dot)imgur(dot)com/jMyOCOg.jpg

2) Done correctly, you will be taken to the search results page. look for the option that says www(dot)utorrent(dot)com. click the line ABOVE that. In case you do not understand, look at this pic http(colon)//i(dot)imgur(dot)com/sEtGBC4.jpg

3) If done correctly, you will be at the utorrent home page. utorrent will recommend you a version of utorrent, depending on your operating system. If you have a linux machine, utorrent will give you a page that tells you to download utorrent for linux. If you have a mac, utorrent will give you a download page where you can download utorrent for macs. I have windows 7 on my machine. If you are like me and using a windows machine, you will see that utorrent gives you a page with a big button saying that you should download utorrent for windows. If you do not have winodws, look at the line UNDER the big button to search for versions that will work for your machine.

4) I assume you have windows. If you do, click on that big button to download. You will now be at the utorrent download page. scroll down slowly and look for the words "free torrent" and click it. In case you don't understand, here is a pic - http(colon)//i(dot)imgur(dot)com/XwkeWwI.jpg

5) After clicking "free download", you will go to another page. if you are in firefox (ff) like me, you will get an automatic pop up. if no pop-up appears, look for the words tell you to click there if nothing happens. after download finishes, go to your address bar. on the right will be a green arrow pointing down. click it to see where the download ended up. in case you do not understand, here is a pic with everything outlined in A, B, C, D - http(colon)//i(dot)imgur(dot)com/ULnICGe.jpg

6) After download has completed, go to wherever it is on your computer that downloads end up. In my case, downloads go to a folder called "download" on my desktop. But if you do not know where your downloads go to, it is easy to check in firefox. when download has completed, go to the right hand side of your addres bar and look for the green arrow pointing down. click it. you will get a drop down menu. look for anything says utorrent, because you have just downloaded it. right click it and choose the option that says "open containing folder" or anything close to those words.

when you have right clicked it, choose "open containing folder" to go the part of your computer that has the utorrent programme you have just downloaded, a pic is here, http(colon)//i(dot)imgur(dot)com/ExNPQDm.png

7) you will be taken to whichever folder on your computer containing the utorrent programme you have downloaded. double click the utorrent icon or anything that says utorrent to install. follow the instructions when it is installing. you must do this. not doing this means you will never be able to use any torrent website. utorrent will be the the round green button with the "u" in the centre. double click it.
you will be asked if you want to run it. say yes.
follow the instructions to install COMPLETELY in your computer. you MUST do this until the end. Aborting halfway is NOT GOOD AT ALL.
you will know you are approaching the end when it asks you if you want to put a desktop icon, start menu entry, quick launch icon etc on your machine. say yes to those things and follow the installation instructions. YOU MUST DO THIS.
if it says it will install some extra bundle or special offer, say no to that. you will still get utorrent, but minus the junk.

8a) once it is fully installed in your computer, go to the start button and click it. look for utorrent. it should be in one of the options there. click it to open. keep it open.
8b) if you have COMPLETELY installed utorrent in your win7 machine, you will see it like in this pic - http(colon)//i(dot)imgur(dot)com/7f1mKVj.png

9a) if you FULLY installed utorrent but step 8 does not work because you do not see the utorrent option, you must look for it manually by clicking the start button, looking for the search box and typing in "utorrent" without the "". you will get many choices. choose "utorrent.exe". double click and wait for it to start/run/open on your machine.

10) regardless as to whether you use step 8 or 9, once you have FULLY installed utorrent on win7 and have clicked the start button to find it, you MUST open it. You do that by clicking on it. If it asks you to make it the default programme for torrents, say yes. If it says there are updates to install, say yes to installing these updates.

11) when you open utorrent AFTER installing it and finding it upon clicking the start button, you will see the things i see in this pic - http(colon)//i(dot)imgur(dot)com/LtkCi13.jpg
in the pic, you can see that i downloaded a torrent as example to show you.
the pic shows what happens when a torrent has completed its download.
when download is complete, you will see what i see in that pic.
to access a file that has completed download, right click on the name and you will be taken to wherever the file is on your computer.

12) BEFORE going to any torrent, minimise utorrent. utorrent company is "friends" with spigot. Spigot is a company that harvests your computer's info. you don't want that. you must get rid of it. do that by clicking the start button, look for the words "control panel". it will be somewhere on the extreme right hand side. click it.

(a) After you click control panel, choose the icon that says "uninstall a program".

(b) if you do not see this after clicking control panel, you need go to the extreme TOP right hand side of the control panel page and change it to "category". doing that will give you the picture you see in (12a)

(c) after changing to "category", look for the icon that says "uninstall a program. refer to pic 12a if you are still confused.
(d) you will taken to another part of your computer called "programs and features". look for spigot and choose to uninstall it.
(e) close control panel when uninstallation and deletion is complete.

13) Now go back to the folder in your machine where all downloaded stuff goes to and delete the utorrent exe file you downloaded from the utorrent website.

14) open your ff browser. or go back to your ff browser. i will know teach you how to find and download torrents. in the address bar, go to google.com. type in "piratebay" without "" and click all the results you get until you get to the piratebay site. this site moves around a lot and has no fixed location. this is because mansy govts try to shut it down. since it moves a lot, it's on you to searh for the latest version of piratebay online. Once you have found it, go to that site. My example uses the .se site that was last working for this torrent provider in mid 2015. No matter what version of the piratebay site you are on, you will see something like this - http(colon)//i(dot)imgur(dot)com/VIkuE3j.png

15) at the piratebay homepage, scroll all the way down until you see the search box. it will be a very long, horizontal white rectangle with "pirate search" inside it. click inside it and then type the game name in it. In this example, I will use the game Scheherazade. So you are in the piratebay site and you found the search box. In the search box, type in "1631 Scheherazade and Long Live The Queen" without the "". After you have finished typing, press enter on your keyboard. Or if you do not want to press enter, press the "pirate search" button under the search box.

16) after you have typed and pressed enter or typed and clicked the "pirate search" button, you will be taken to the search results page. The search results page will have a different url in the address bar. in this case, this is the results page http(colon)//thepiratebay(dot)se/search/1631%20Scheherazade%20and%20Long%20Live%20The%20Queen/0/99/0
you will see that it has given you one result. click the name of the game and you will be taken to another page.

18) after clicking on the words "1631 Scheherazade...." you will go to the page on piratebay housing the torrent you want. it will be http(colon)//thepiratebay(dot)se/torrent/8230436/1631_Scheherazade_and_Long_Live_The_Queen
remember that you opened utorrent after installing? also remember that you minimised it? leave it alone still. do not close it. keep it minimised.
once you click on the words "get torrent" on the piratebay page housing your game, it will be added to your open utorrent programme.

after you click the "get torrent" part i circled in the pic, the torrent of your game will be added to your open utorrent programme


19) clicking the words "get torrent" will lead to ff giving you a pop up with the title "launch application". it will say, this link needs to be opened with an application. there are 3 things to do here
- choose "utorrent" and make sure it is highlighted
- tick the box that says "remember my choice" by clicking it
- click ok

20) after you do all that, the minimised utorrent programme you have running will maximise by itself. you will also get a new pop up. this new pop up will tell you all the details about the file you want. it will also ask if you are sure you want to download it.
a) all you have to do here is untick all options to do with "long live the queen" as that is the very x1000 first version. make sure all files related to Scheherazade are ticked. and the press OK or enter.

c) to untick all "long live the queen" stuff in this torrent, just put your mouse arrow inside the little square in front of it and then click it. the tick will then go away.
d) also untick "small games.jpg".
e) do it correctly and it will look like this - http(colon)//i(dot)imgur(dot)com/o2QhnS4.png
f) click ok when done.

21) when step 20 is done correctly, your torrent will be added to utorrent and it will start downloading. it will look like this - http(colon)//i(dot)imgur(dot)com/vIF3o24.png

22) take note of when it will finish downloading. minimise it and wait for it to complete download.

23) when download is complete, maximise utorrent, go to the name of the torrent with your file, right click it and then choose "open containing folder". your game will be in there.

24) after checking that it works and everything, move all game folders that you have just downloaded to wherever it is you store VN, otome, rpg games on your machine. do this to prevent yourself from accidentally deleting this file.

25) now that you have downloaded the file through torrent and moved the game somewhere else, you can delete the torrent. you do that by repeating step 23 BUT choose "remove and..." instead. after that choose, "delete torrent and data".

when asked if you are sure, say yes. it will be deleted. empty your recycle bin on your computer to be sure.

26) after doing step 25, make sure your game is still where you moved it, by going to wherever it is your store all your VN and otome, rpg whatever on your machine. open Scheherazade and play it. if not start from the step that tells you about the piratebay home page all over again.

27) Piratebay is frequently hounded by governments all over the world to shut down for good. A good way of searching for other torrents is to do the following:
- open ff, go to google
- click start button, choose utorrent. run it and keep it minimised
- go back to ff and the google page. type into the search box "[name of game] torrent" without the "" and where [name of game] is the name of the game you want.
- for example, if i am looking for Always Remember Me. I will go to google and put in "always remember me game torrent" without the "". and then, i will press enter.
- i will get many results. i will have to go through them patiently one by one until i find one that works for me. that is the way to do things on one's own initiative.

28) if your country and government has banned piratebay, you will have to make sure you have ALREADY downloaded and installed utorrent on your machine. Utorrent must also be already running and minimised in your machine.
this means steps 1-13 must already have been done. After that, go to google and search for "kickass torrents" without the "".

29) like piratebay, kickass is also hunted by govts all over the world to shut down. as a result, it moves around a lot and the site changes every few months. I will use the kickass site that was valid in March 2015 as an example. This site is NOT valid anymore. It's on you to search for the newest version of this site. As of March 2015, the kickass site was http(colon)//kickass(dot)to/
- it will look different for everyone. but it will have the name of the website somewhere as well as a search box.
- you are ONLY concerned with the search box. look for the search box.
- you will know you have found the search box because it has the words "send query" in it.
- click inside the search box and type what you want. then press enter.

- it will look similar to you of you are on ff

30) Because you want to find "Scheherazade", it is the example I use on how to find it. Input the name in the search box on kickass torrents and then press enter on your keyboard. if you don't want to press enter, click the "search" button.

31) if you press enter or press "search" and you are told "nothing found", it means kickass torrents does not have the file you want.

32) if you press enter and there are many results, you must go through them one by one, opening them in new tabs and reading their descriptions until you find what you are looking.

33) i will give you an example of a successful search in kickass torrents.
pretend i am using win7.
pretend i am using ff.
Pretend i want to find the game "to the moon" on kickass. I go to the search box, input "to the moon without the "" and press enter. I will get many results.

a) notice that in the pic, i input "to the moon" without ""
b) notice that there are many results.
c) notice that the ONUS IS ON YOU to search the results one by one until you find the correct one.
d) in this case, the corrrect one is the 3rd choice called "to the moon - full precracked".

34) make sure my utorrent programme is running and minimised. if it is not, press the start button and search for it, run it etc. i have already explained above what to do to with utorrent.

35) i click on the 3rd choice called "to the moon - full precracked". i will be taken to the page on kickass torrents housing this game. it will be http(colon)//kickass(dot)to/to-the-moon-full-precracked-t6017988.html
a) at this page, there is info about the game. i read it to make sure it is what i am looking for. yes, it is what i am seeking.
b) i will download it because it is what i want. how do i do that?
c) look for the words "download torrent"

36) assuming you are in ff when you do all this, after clicking the download torrent button, you will either get the pop up like in step 19 or a pop up that looks like this - http(colon)//i(dot)imgur(dot)com/RPP8n22.png
if you get the pop up in step 19, it means you FAILED to set up your utorrent as the default mechanism when it comes to torrents.
if you get the pop up in http(colon)//i(dot)imgur(dot)com/RPP8n22.png, it means you have SUCCESSFULLLY FORCED utorrent to be the programme handling all torrents. this is why you see the option "open with utorrent".
if you see the "open with utorrent" option, DO NOT unclick it. let it stay and press ok in the pop up.

37) after you have pressed/clicked OK in the pop up, you will REPEAT steps 20-27.

Other torrent sites work on roughly the same method as kickass and piratebay. it's on you to poke around the different torrent sites to see how they work.



BONUS - HOW TO CHANGE (colon) and (dot) MORE EFFICIENTLY IN WINDOWS AND WORD

I am using windows 7, microsoft word 2007.

it does not matter what windows version you have, or what version of microsoft word you have. this method will work for them.

pretend you have many links like this:
http(colon)//www(dot)google(dot)com
http(colon)//i(dot)imgur(dot)com/OpLAS2k.png
http(colon)//i(dot)imgur(dot)com/VSuqqLY.jpg

you may find it troublesome to manually go through them one by one to change the (colon) into : and change the (dot) to .

There is a way around that.

Open microsoft word document. copy ALL the links that are like that into the doc, one link per row.

done correctly, it will look like this -

Now, look for the "ctrl button" and the "F" button on your keyboard. press them both at the same time.
the "F" is between "D" and "G" in an English/American keyboard. "Ctrl" is in different places for different keyboards.
press them both at the same time while you are in microsoft word.

done correctly, you will get a pop up with 3 tabs that say "find", "replace" and "go to".
this pop up in microsoft word will look like this -

choose the "replace" tab" in this pop up and you will have this.

Click inside the long rectangle after "find what", type in (dot)
Click inside the long rectangle after "replace with", type in .
Done correctly, it will look like this

Now, click the button "replace all"
When done correctly, your microsoft word programme will change all (dot) to a real period/full stop.
you will get a pop up telling you this and it will look like this -

Close the second pop up that says "word has completed the change and made X number of changes" by clicking OK.

Go back to the "find and replace" pop up.
Click inside the long rectangle after "find what", delete everything and type in (colon)
Click inside the long rectangle after "replace with", delete . and type in :
Done correctly, it will look like this

Now, click the button "replace all"
When done correctly, your microsoft word programme will change all (colon) to :
You will get a pop up telling this and saying:

notice that all the links in the word doc look like "normal" links again with no brackets anywhere.

click OK in the second pop up saying "word has completed the change and made X number of changes" by clicking OK.

click the "x" in the top right hand side of the "find and replace" pop up.

Now, copy and paste the links into the address bar of our web browser, press enter.



In case no one knows what I am talking about and the people having trouble with torrents still don't know what to do, will someone with more patience, more technically adept and better at photoshop please explain to these persons.

Unfortunately I am not able to use torrents not because I do not know how to use them, but because my hardware and software are too outdated for this.

Please, take into account that sometimes when other people politely ask you to re-upload something from torrents, they are doing that not because they are lazy, but because some objective limitations do not allow them to use torrents or some specific filesharing sites. But nevertheless thank you for your explanation; maybe it will be helpful for someone else here.
