I went the beach today and got sand in the camera where the lens is. It now refuses to open up and comes up on the screen saying "turn power off and on" I do but obviously it doesn't change the fact there's sand stopping it from opening up, is there any way I can fix this myself?

I usually find a bit of the sand like stuff in the cups or if a light bowl on the lower rack overturned and filled with water, it would also be in the water.
