should OBAMA get some credit here ? I think he should. The travel industry is seeing a slight increase in
customers. I live in a major resort area. And in spite of the bad
economy, people are optimistic about where our country is going.
Little by little, steps are being made to put our economy back together
again. The food and service industry, real estate, travel, and retails
are bouncing back as we speak. Spring sales are expected to exceed
our expectations. It is all relative. People are optimistic, and that
plays a huge part in the psychology of all of this. We know that
George Bush is no longer President, and that has created a huge
sigh of relief for many of us all around the world. G8 Summit meeting
was a success. AND if you saw 60 minutes last night, the changes
being made in our banking and housing markets, will be solid
again. These changes will be big !! That is what they are saying to
me. And long lasting changes to, I am so excited. What do you think
about the economy in about a year, will it be better or worse ?
It is a feeling. Trust me on this. The
economy is going to be back up again.
And 2010 will be better no doubt.
The traffic is heavy, the store lines
are getting longer, and also pay attention to the Television ratings. That
is also a sign. Americans are optimistic
again, and will remain so under this
Administration..............
Gas prices are still low although they
are rising, fast food stores still making
huge profits thank to the dollar menus.
Retail is better than what was expected,
because of bargains. Little by little, with
everything else, will help our economy.
This Admnistration just has to clean up
this mess, just like Clinton did back in
1993. Give it some time, you will
see. And as for the war in Irag and
Afghanistan, once he has his meeting
with those tyrants, an unexpected cease
fire will take place. You shall see.............

What drug are you on the gov. will own everything in 2010 the stock market will grow on it's own but with Obama's stimulus plan or so called stimulus we are looking at hyperinflation for many years to come. I don't know where you live but I'm in N.Y. and people are feeling it here so get ready it's coming your way !

The American people seem to be on board with regards to his efforts. That is a good sign. Too soon to say mission accomplished though.

I am hopping for the best.

The Bush Tax Cuts Expire Next Year and Obama has said he will Not extend them, lets see how Every Person who pays income tax feels about their taxes going up and how long those lines are then.

We'll find out, it's might be only temporary, it hasn't been long enough to tell if it'll work or not.

Some people are too ignorant to give him any credit.

No, the economy will do whatever it does no matter what we do. Spending all this money all at once won't help it. All that money is just to introduce us to Socialism and Communism. We will just have to live with it until someone else comes along and says we are going back to the capitalist way of doing things. This has happened before and it will happen again.

3 million more jobs will be lost this year but by all means, keep your rose colored glasses on and keep drinking up that Kool-Aid!

I heard that on CNN that the unemployment rate is at an all time high, meaning a very crappy economy, and that the worst has probably yet to come. So, what is your source that the economy is getting better?

President Obama has done a great job. He hit the ground running and has done more good for this country in his first month than Reagan Bush and Bush jr combined.

LOL he hasnt' even signed the spending bill yet and it is already getting credit for fixing the economy??

Oh yea... and like you liberals say when something he does is bad or his policies aren't working "He has only been president a month!" So since the failures of today are Bush's fault with Obama being in office only a month... so could any improvement be laid a Bush's feet?

oh and there is no sign things are getting better. look again at the stats

If the economy is already recovering then Obama can stay on vacation and not sign Pelosi's pork package.

It is not because of him..BUT in spite of his devastatingly stupid plan to dismantle our strength--
if he'd just go HOME and stop f--king with private --free trade--the markets would get well on their own.

he didn't do anything but make it much worse....

and no--he's so far done --zero--to impress me--..my Mom could've made better financial choices for the country.

mr.obama===no common sense--no financial clout.

Nope. People say that he's not been in office long enough to be criticized. So no, he gets no credit for the economy right now if it turns around.

Also Pelosi's Congressional Relief Action Program will fail.
