Hi All,

I am trying to install Windows 7 onto a new internal SATA notebook HD. I inserted the HD into a notebook, turned it on with the Windows 7 disc in the DVD drive and I get "No Bootable Device - Insert Boot Disk and press any key". The weird thing is that I have used this same disc in this same computer with a different HD before and it worked perfectly fine. I have already played with the BIOS boot order and even tried disabling, rebooting and reenabling the DVD drive to no avail. The DVD drive works. I can clearly hear it reading the disc and, like mentioned before, it worked flawlessly when I insert another HD with windows 7 installed. Any suggestions?
I just entered a Windows XP disc in the same drive and it booted no problem. I am going to try to reburn the ISO and hope for the best. Thanks for the responses and let me know if you have any other suggestions.
