Trying to get this 1999 Chrysler Cirrus running for a friend and, it will turn over but, won't start. My friend bought fuel pump and I assumed the job was simple but, on a hunch I disconnected the outlet fuel line, and from the fuel filter...after dropping the tank, and plenty of fuel came out. Pulled spark plug and it was soaked in gas...no spark. Im thinking either distributor, ignition coil, or relay. Anybody have any experience that will keep me from wasting money? Its a 1999 Chrysler Cirrus, not even worth what the dealership wants for a distributor...

Could be a bad crank sensor or a bad coil. Check the spark wires for corrosion at the connection. The plugs are wet because every time you cycle the key the fuel pump charges the lines and can be too much. You can but a spark tester at sears or any store that sells auto tools, its easy you just plug it in series with the wires, crank the car and see if it lights up.
