I have a Finnish Easter bread recipe that I want to make. It calls for 1/4 cup Brandy or Cognac. The only alcohol I have on hand is some red wine (I didn't realize all of the liquor stores closed at 9:00 on Saturdays). Is there anything that I can substitute or add in place of for a strong flavor?
