Why won't any program on my PC convert video files to DVD?

Some reason I'm unable to convert MKV files (or any video format) to DVD.
I used 'ConvertXtoDVD4' for years then it just stopped working for some reason, I've tried 'DVDFAB' amongst others to no avail....It's quite strange, I'm really stumped for solutions.
When using ConvertXToDVD4 it'll start converting then about after 10% completion it will start burning...after it's completed burning it's only has about 10 minutes of the movie on the DVD.
It's the conversion that is the problem, I'm still able to make copies of DVD's that are already on disc using DVD Cloner or Clone DVD etc.

me too faced the same problem, but somehow ALLOK converter worked for me. other programs just stopped working.
