Why are we arguing over religion and atheism when we all know that?

F@cked up parents raise f@cked up children? We all want a better world. Some want to help make this one better and other want an afterlife better world. The bottom line is that religion or atheism don't make the world better on their own. Moderate believers take the good points of their religion and use them in their arguments of a better world, but atheists can have the same good morals without supporting the garbage morals of most religions. Religious parents have many more ways to f@ck up their children and if you honestly look at fundamental religions (fundie Islams, fundie Christians...), you will admit to yourself that it is true.

yes but not all religious parents are fundamentalists and actually there's a difference between moderate and lukewarm and I find that parents who are lukewarm mess up their kids just as badly because they tell them so little and they are left blindly accepting a religion that they were never educated about OR they end up wandering spiritually

Because that would require work, effort, etc.

Just look at America's weight scales! Quite the contrary!

It's become more than a better world, it's become a "Is it or is it not" there's no room for middle ground.

Remember devotion is not insane fundamentalism.
So don't be saying moderates are the only good religious people.

But religion is still a strain on society even without all the terrorists and extremists.
