If your man jokes around while he playfully hits you. Holds you down, talks down to you, tells you not to say something, pushes you against the wall but then tells you he's joking is he really? Or does this mean there is an underlining issue

I have been with PLENTY of guys that hit me on my shoulder or arm, pushed me onto the bed or up against a wall. Yelled at me and screamed calling me names. At the end of it all they say they were joking. Abusive behavior is not something to play around with let alone to a girl. You should get out of the situation before he actually does hurt you. It is never a joke in this type of situation.
