I notice all these people going around saying they like K-pop, and putting down all English-language music. They say K-pop is better than American/British pop etc. when it's just as fake and auto-tuned (note: I don't hate all pop, in fact I LOVE Lily Allen). These fans completely shun any English-language music, when there are MANY MANY options out there that are not pop (Metal? Country?), and most people who listen to this K-pop don't even speak Korean.
I know not all fans of K-pop are like that, because I know some, but quite a few of them are, some even going to the lengths of wanting to change their nationality, get plastic surgery etc.
And yes, I did give K-pop a chance. I listened to several groups, but to me it's all just the same: boy bands and girl groups who care more about their public image and dance moves than their music. I don't want any artist recommendations as answers, because I prefer to listen to music where I actually understand what is being said.
