Luke 14:33- "In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple."

Matt 19:23-24- Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
 
How embarrassing for someone to bring up these anti-capitalist teachings of Jesus!

The totally inconvenient truth is that Jesus insisted that His followers live lives of sold-out devotion to God and extreme generosity to the poor.However it is important to note that the instruction in Luke 14:33 was for His 12 disciples.
