My next vehicle will be a Toyota,Are they really almost problem free unlike most American cars. The only thing that drove me away from a 4runner is they are pricey.

Nope, unlike American cars Toyota still has a ton of problems like the 1.7 million cars they had to recall a few days ago for leaky gas tanks.

Forget about the SUV's and trucks also since they have a nasty habit of rusting in half as seen in these links.

On the other hand Ford trucks seem to last forever and Ford trucks have outsold all vehicles car or truck every year for the past 35 years in a row. That isn’t possible without being the best and most reliable vehicle there is.

I own a 2004 Tacoma. It's a V-6, has 4 wheel drive, has a 5 speed, has 162,000 miles
on it, and has never had any mechanical problems. Right now it drives as good as the day I drove it off the lot when it was new. I wouldn't think twice about buying another one. If it were American
made it would probably be ready for the junk yard.
