A few days ago, it did recognize my MacBook Pro computer, running Mac OSX, (that's how the comcast guys left it setup) and made my network wireless through a linksys wireless router, cloning my computer's IP address. Today, a PC running windows vista joined my network and 2-3 minutes after that, all the settings from the router were reset (the name of the network and the password, and the cloned IP address), and the other 3 computers that were using that network got disconnected. Now, when I connect the modem to the router, and then to the computer, I don't have internet access, and I need this to set up my wireless router again.

Connect to the Linksys router via a network cable. WAN connection should be setup to Auto/Dynamic/DHCP. Enable STP for the WAN connection.

if using wireless connections, make sure MAC filtering on the router is disabled.

Turn off the modem, router and computers for 15 minutes. Then turn on the modem first, then the Linksys router.
