Mitt Romney has gone in all kinds of directions when asked about his position on health care, but we weren't aware that he was campaigning so hard against Lyme Disease. Apparently, that's his campaign's tactic for winning over concerned moms in suburban Virginia, where deer and other wildlife contribute to the spread of Lyme. The news only picked up on it this week, and Mother Jones (of course) shared the above photo of one of his campaign mailers advertising the issue this morning. But even if this isn't a last-ditch effort, it just seems Romney has bigger fish to fry (like coming up with a consistent story about where he stands on health care) than ticks.
