Isn't belief causing belief a self-fulfilling prophecy or a foregone conclusion?

Faith is basically defined as belief without complete evidence, and is essentially the opposite of logic.

I've asked this before, and never received a straight answer. Tell me, theists, what exactly is "faith", and why is it even a good thing? Many people assert to believe in god requires faith over logic. And I ask, what on earth makes you think faith is superior to logic? Logic has given us great advances to reduce oppression and suffering, and lead more people to longer, healthier, more fulfilling lives through the means of scientific study. Faith has given us inexplicable wars, fear, and hatred (faith being belief without fact, not necessarily religious faith, so don't get all worked up about this).

If god does exist, why would he ever value faith over logic?

You have not gotten yourself some GOD and therefore cannot possibly comprehend faith.

GET YOU SOME GOD!
