recently moved in with a rel? I've recently moved in with a relative who has a German shepherd who has just turned 5. He LOVES it when I am home because he associates my presence with play time.

If I go sit outside to enjoy the sunshine or something, he'll think I'm coming to play with him (which i am clearly NOT). So I ignore him despite the fact he keeps whining and bringing all his toys near my feet.

Other times he will jump on me, and try shove toys in my hand. The jumping is annoying because he's a big dog! Plus, he'll use his mouth to touch me hands when they're near his face. Like he gently scrapes his teeth against my skin. I told my relative about the teeth scraping (and he insists he is playing because he is not being aggressive).

Additionally this dog listens to my commands almost all the time so he's pretty obedient . Is this behavior arising ONLY because he's really keen to play??

P.S he gets sufficient physical and mental exercise a day ..
