In The Age Of CGI, Why Should Anne Hathaway Starve Herself For Les Miserables?

Anne Hathaway is apparently eating 500 calories per day in an effort to shed 16 pounds for her role in Les Miserables—or at least, a few scenes of the film. Unlike other roles that have required Hathaway to lose weight (like Catwoman, for example), her role as Fantine—a prostitute who dies and later returns as a ghost—only calls for her to look emaciated for some of the time she spends on screen. Which, for an already-thin actress, wouldn't be too hard to accomplish with CGI. So why should Anne Hathaway starve herself, or even lose any weight at all? More »Post from: Blisstree
