I ate only 500 calories for weeks but never lost weight?

Okay, let me explain....I struggled with an eating disorder last year, about 8 months ago. And I always ate between 400 to 600 calories of food every day. That's all I would eat. I managed to eat this much for several weeks, but for some reason, I would never lose weight?
Looking back, and reading about anorexic girls, I'm confused. Shouldn't I have lost a lot more weight than I did? It's just very strange to me. I started off being 125 and ended up being 115 after maybe 4 or 5 weeks of 500 calories.

I also had several "fast" and "binge" days in between. Could that have made a difference?

Looking back, now that I've recovered, I just wonder why that happened. Any ideas? :-/
