How old can I start to introduce water (to take bath or shower) to a Congo

african grey parrot? I have a 5 weeks old congo african grey, it's been 3 weeks i brought him home. He is doing great, eat well and is alert. But I don't know how I am suppose to clean him. I tried with a wet warm washcloth, but it's not really convenient. My older birds love to shower or take baths, so I am wondering when could I start to introduce water to my baby cag.

Birds love water. It is also very good for their respiratory systems to breathe in the steam. Gradually introduce water. Try sprinkling him in some, see how he reacts, then move on to the sink, then beside you in the bath, this is when you may fully wet him. Then you may bring him into the shower. Do this GRADUALLY. If water is very new to him, he can become stressed.
