how do i totally elliminate static( i.e. alternator whine) in my car audio system?

i have 3 power amps, rockford fosgate, pioneer head unit, audio control, and EQx crossover, i've ran 1gauge kicker wire, i upgraded also to big three, i know it is normal static, but, at zero volume, i hear that static, alternator wine, when i turn on air con and head lights, and step up gas at 3k to 4k rpm, is there anything that i can do to totally kicked it out, thanks..

make sure your ground wire is 18 inches or less and as far from the battery as possible.

Static filters are available at your local car audio shop or radio shack.

Another person mentioned static filters,that would be a good start. In some cases such as single wire alt. this is just about the only option. On older alt. there was a condenser mounted to the back of the alt. connected to the hot lead to eliminate this noise. Make sure all of your connections are tight and that you have sufficient grounds as this can cause this noise as well. Don't be surprised if you can not rid yourself completely of this noise,a little will always be present,even if only faint,it's the nature of the beast. Filters are passive in most cases and will reduce some of your total output power available.

1)try resistor spark plugs.
2)they sell filters for the attenna plug in.
3)they also sell filters for the power hook up.

that should remove any static on your adio.

you can install resister plug and wires or put a ground strap on the body.

try running 1 gauge from the negative terminal on your battery to the fender or where ever the cars ground is from the battery. in my experience that step alone will help out tremendously with not only your noise issue but the power that the amps are getting. It will hit a lot harder.

static is usually caused by a bad ground. Try to find a clean ground source, the closer the better, you dont want your ground cable to be too long, and also match your power cable. If you use 1,4 or 8 power use the same for ground. This applies to only to your amps but for the rest of the equipment as well, find clean ground.
