I am hard wiring a aftermarket stereo into a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire and I have in working but I'm at a stand still because it wont turn off unless I pull the fuse. I looked up a diagram on the internet and I compared it to the diagram that is in the instructions for the head unit. The instructions for the head unit said that if your car doesn't have a 12v ignition wire running to the stereo then connect the 12v constant and the 12v switch to the 12v constant from the car. I talked to my friend and he said to try a switch to the 12v constant but if i do that it resets my stereo. I think the switch should go to the 12v switched wire. I'm really at a lose here please give me any suggestions you may have.
