Fiat punto gear box broke, had it 3 days still under warrenty but garage telling...

...me i dont have warrenty now? i brought a fiat punto 1.2 sporting from a used car garage advertised with 3 months warrenty etc.. i got the car home didnt sound right in 2nd gear 3 days later v loud grinding noise and gear box packs up call the garage and they say as i got the car at a reduced rate the warrenty is not valid he never told me this when i purchased! the garage are just laughing at me as i am a girl can any one give me some advice what to do please! also he says i broke the gear box by screwing a gear knob onto the gear stick as it come without one!

This garage is definitely conning you. Dad your Dad or Boy friend along with you and see them change their tune. You cannot break the gear box by screwing a gear lever knob onto the shaft.
