Do all dodge/chrysler intrepid's (1999) have a 2.7 litre engine?

My mom was thinking about buying me a second hand car, and theres this nice chrysler intrepid for sale. My mom went to the garage and they said "do not buy a car with a 2.7 litre engine". i know they have a 2.7 litre engine, but do all of them? Theres alot of complaints on the engines with sludge build up.

Base engine was a 2.7-liter V6, making 200 horsepower. A stronger and larger 3.2-liter V6, producing 225 horsepower, went into the sportier ES edition. A performance-driven R/T model with a 3.5-liter engine joined the lineup during 2000.

If you can find a car with the larger engine that would be the better choice. Even without the sludge issues the stronger engine pulls that large car around much better.
