im currently in the army and deployed to afghanistan. i was considering joining the air force after my four year term is up which i have just over two years left. i will pick up my e-4 in august and because i am a star mos should easily pick up my e-5 by the end of my term. i understand i will probably lose rank when i go to the air force. what are the circumstances for them to take me if any at all?
