89 Nissan pickup Z24 engine won't start?

It started one day where if it did'nt start the first time I would have to pull the fuel pump fuse and turn the engine to burn off the gas. Then it would'nt start if the temp outside was under 60 F. It seams like it's getting too much fuel or the mixture isn't right. I can smell the fuel from the cab and it has a sweet smell.
Can anyone help?

if it has a carb adjust the coke if not might want to replace fuel filter and clean the fuel system you can try coke cleaner for the outside parts and a fuel treatment for insides. might even be better if you have the system flush at a shop
