I have a former snowmobile trailer that I know use as an ATV trailer. I have two ATVs, but have never had a snowmobile. I bought the trailer used when we got our second quad to take them up north. The wood is thin and is not mean for the weight distributed onto only 4 tires instead of two skis...

block of wood exerts a force of 50? A 38g bullet is traveling at 428m/s when it strikes a block of wood. If the block of wood exerts a force of 50,000 N opposing the motion of the bullet, how far will the bullet penetrate the block of wood?
People. Especially people of Florida. Listen up. If you get approached to buy a MacBook or iPad in a parking lot, don't buy it. Even if it's dirt cheap and a freaking steal and you need a new computer or whatever. Why? Because it might end up as a pile of wood and duct tape. Seriously. More »

Noticed that the chimney vent is too close to the wood frame in the attic at our new house. The clearance is less than an inch and it should be over an inch and half. It's pretty high up since it's up above the second floor. But, still little bit concerned for fire safety. What can I do to...

style of breeze block? I'm renovating an old outbuilding and am now fitting the roof, I've decided to fit some frame work onto the breeze block to hold the frame for the roof. The frame work i'm fitting to the breeze block is going to be taking a lot of weight so I need the fixings to be solid...
I have a little gizmo for chopping wood; it has a square base and a square tube at a 90 degree angle from the base - on this tube you mount a sliding wedge. You raise the wedge, put the log under it then hit the wedge and it splits the wood. Unfortunately the wedge has broken and re-welding it...
The book is about the history of the Gold Star/Sugarhill recording studio in Houston Texas. I'm almost finished reading it and I need a thesis for a term paper. Any ideas would be helpful.

I have it hooked up with a reducer at the stove, and 6" pipe to the chimney. It puffs out more smoke than I would like when I open either door to put wood in. Would changing to an 8" pipe and putting the reducer at the chimney help the draft at all?
