I'm looking to buy a kona shred. I intend to use it for trails, occasional downhill, offroad, etc. problem is, they only have a medium frame in stock but I'm 5' 8" and was told to get a small. I have about 2" above the frame when straddling it. Is this a huge deal, or will I be fine with a...
My bike's crankset came loose and a few of the ball bearings fell out. I need to buy new ball bearings to replace them and I need to know what size they are. Thanks
Is it worth the approx. $300 price tag or is it smarter to buy a used mtn. bike for that price? There is only one bike shop in my town and it is grossly overpriced.
from what i can tell its the brakes one has discs, on the website when i compare them, they both have the same fork, crank, frame just different brakes.

Why the difference? - Someone who is 5'6" comfortably riding a 17.5" hybrid which is 44.5cm but then needs a 51-53cm - 20 to 21" roadbike to be comfortable?
I just got a security job that requires me to ride a MTN. Bike for 7 Hours a night. Because I am leaning forward to reach the handle bars, by the end of the shift, my back is killing me!
What can I do to relieve the pain?
(Other than quit my job!)
Thanx!
i have an old ritchey ascent comp mtn bike. it is a steel frame with brazens for fenders and i already put on a rear carrier. i also switched out the typical mtn bike wheels for 700cc. still with the flat mtn bike handlebar positioning i get a generous amount of hand fatigue and lower back...
Did you feel it was worth it?
I have a three year old Turner (XTR) that needs a new fork. The upgrade will probably run half the worth of the bike. Is it sometimes better to just sell the bike and buying a new one equipped the way I want?
