Pinochet, Antonescu, and Jozef Tiso? I just wanted to note that more than 100 million people died at the hands of these extremists!

(Please STAR this question!)

Hitler was actually a sensitive man, who loved art, animals, hired homosexuals and didn't eat meat.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

EDIT:

Staggerlee:
I see you wanted to correct me, but where exactly was I wrong? He didn't eat meat. He hired homosexuals.

they were Christian.

So were Martin Luther King, John Kennedy, Franklin Roosevelt, Mother Teresa, Winston Churchill, General Patton, George Marshall, Charles De Gaulle, Lech Walesa.

So what's your point?

Technically, they were of no religion. They were sociopaths who distorted and leveraged their environment according to their personal agenda.

EVIDENCE doesn't even support any of them practicing any religion to any degree of intention.

As for what religion they claimed to be a part of, I only recall that Hitler claimed to religions. At one time, he basically said he was Christian. At another time, he said he perceived himself as a god.

I would not be surprised if Mussolini claimed Catholicism as his religion.

Whatever the case, they were all charlatans.

God bless you.

they were all Catholic.

nicole - actually i would blame christians for slavery since it is conisdered just fine in the Bible.

maybe you should read it sometime?

As far as what they said and what the evidence shows all of them were Christians. One was even a Catholic Priest.

Christian, but who cares you don't see me blaming white people over things like slavery

Samian, this question is no more reasonable than asking about Stalin and Mao in regards to atheism. Humans are humans. Most humans are basically good people. Some people do really horrible things, and some people who do really horrible things get into power. They may use their religious beliefs as a justification for what they do, but it doesn't mean that all members of that religion are like that.

thats the most ignorant thing ive ever heard, and im not even christian.

you cant judge a whole group of people over the actions of a few individuals. and if you do, you're a complete fucking moron.

i dont star questions by bigots, be they christian/catholic/jewish/muslim or any other group of people

Hitler was I believe Lutheran or Methodist
Franco Catholic
Mussolini Catholic
Pinochet Catholic
Antonescu Romanian Orthodox
Tiso Catholic

edit for Dr. Alexander Nayle Hitler was not vegetarian by choice he had a gastrointestinal disorder that prevented him from eating meat and the Nazi's Pink Triangle policy (the mark they were made to wear like the Jewish Juden star) and eventual internment of gays in concentratiuon camps say to me that Hitler's policies were that homosexuality was immoral and evil, although he may have turned a blind eye to more discreet officers of high rank

I believe they were all Christian, now here comes the twist, Christianity says Jesus died for the sins of EVERY single person that was a Christian. So I guess all these mass murderers go to heaven?
