He gets from the bed, stretches, hops onto the couch, goes back to sleep. An hour later, same routine, off the couch, stretch, back to bed!!

Definitely not . My queen Misty had the same routine now she goes to the flabby tabby clinic once a month . Its working as she is slowly losing weight . And acts more like a streamline feline lol

What, he doesn't clean himself? I guess you take enough showers for the both of you!!
 
Yea, sounds like a good one. No sense getting too worked up. You don't want the humans to start thinking you care about something.
 
why don't you get a normal kitty,, but no irky has to get a dumb one,,,,, throws kitty of the couch
and goes to sleep.
 
I'm gonna try my dog's workout routine... sleep all day, stay up all night demolishing the furniture.
