This guy I'm talking to has a girlfriend!?

So there's this guy..I thought he was really cute. I gave him my number and told him to text me IF he doesn't have a girl. That same day we started texting each other. I told him we should hang out, he said he would and he wanted to but there's one problem: HE HAS A GF! so I dropped it at that cause I don't wanna mess w/ a man who's committed. But he texted me more and he said it's too bad that we haven't met sooner cause he thought I was cute. He said he's in a 2year relationship, I asked him if he's happy w/ it he said yeah but then again he wanted to see what its like being single again. So then I told him if he cares for this girl then he shouldn't do anything that would hurt her, then he told me that he's gonna tell her if he's gonna hook up w/ other girls so she wouldn't get hurt. I told him that we can be friends and hang out as friends.

But we haven't talked in a couple of days. What the heck does that mean? Did he just talk to me cause he needed an ego boost?
