...ips235? my computer puts screens down to save power, so they slowly dim/get dark; once they're completely dark the screen lights up again with a 'entering power saving mode' or simmilar message, and goes dark again... why this interruption in the smooth process of darkening your screens?! can't this stage/sessage be disabled? like on a mac, it just turns black and stays like that...no silly messages between. I'm using two LG Flatron ips235 with ubuntu 12.04 if that matters...
* Alternatively, I'd like to ask if one can controll the OSD-specific funcions from a computer; like I'd send a command to the screen to swithch to a different mode, or put brightness down without the need of pushing all the buttons located on the monitor..
