Which guitar is better for "shredding," an Epiphone Prophecy Les Paul Custom
ex(2012), or an Ibanez RG3EXFM1? I'm torn between these two. The epiphone has the EMG 81/85 humbuckers, but I'm afraid that they might be too dark, and they use a battery, whereas, I'm afraid the Ibanez will sound too bright, like a stratocaster. I need a guitar that heavy metal shreds, and sounds amazing for it, and I'm leaning toward the Epiphone. But I hate the battery thing, and I really like double cut-aways. Im just not sure which one to choose... Any suggestions?
Im withing a $600 and lower price range... and this particular Epiphone was designed for heavy metal. its got some of the best heavy metal pick ups.
