Greek Orthodox Christian vs. Protestant Christian marrying?

I have run into a bit of a predicament. The man I want to marry is Greek Orthodox, but I have been raised as a Protestant. My parents have always been very involved in my life and are passionately against any church that seems remotely Catholic. However, he and I both share the same dogmatic views on virtually every aspect. There is the issue though about infant baptism and communion and penance that I'm not fully in agreement with. Here is my question...

Greek Orthodox Christians: Do you think the gap between protestants and the G.O. church is too large? Is it unwise for me to become engaged to someone even if my parents are opposed?
Protestant Christians: What other concerns might there be that you would have? What would you do?
It is so discouraging...

im Greek Orthodox too! no its not that big of a deal. hes still Christian...its not like hes Jewish or anything. (im not being racist)

we pretty much believe that as long as the person is Christian, you're fine. dont call off the engagement because of a few minor details in the way your pray. thats stupid.
