write the formula that results from Ca2+ and N3-?

It is really hard to show how to do with the editor we have (I've heard others say it sucks).

When the charges a different, you just place them behind the other ion and drop the charges.

So 2 from calcium would go behind the N like this N2
And 3 from Nitrogen would go behind the Ca like this Ca3

Now just put them togther.
