Worcester Bosch boiler 24CDi automatic air vent.?

Hi, my combi boiler is losing pressure, as there are no leaks, I tested the auto air vent valve using washing up liquid and it shows a small amount of air is escaping, particularly when I turn on the central heating.

Is air supposed to escape like this from the AAV?

Yes. The device is called by what is does.
Automatic air vent

automatic (you don't have to do anything)
air (air)
vent (release)

So a device to automatically release air from a system.

If you are losing pressure. That means you are losing what. The water has to be replaced
by something and that is air. As air travels around the system it is released from
the air vent. But you are still losing water somewhere.
