Why won't my env2 phone play some songs I download?

I recently ripped a bunch of songs from cds that I had onto the Verizon Music Manager program so that I could download them to my Verizon env2 phone, and for some odd reason, some of the songs won't play once they are on my phone, and some will. Why is that and is there a way that I can get the songs that won't play on my phone to play? The ones that won't play say that they have 0 seconds of the song on the phone, or will only play the first three seconds of the song...
